David Hanson
David grew up in Fargo and has been a musican his entire
life. His band Overland Stage garnered a
national recording contract in 1972 on Epic Records.
The album was recorded in San Franciso that winter which
triggered David's passion for the recording arts. He began
in advertising as a musician/composer/engineer with his
own company,
Friendship Productions in 1978. From there he branched
off into photography, becoming the house fashion photographer
for Black's Women's Fashions in Fargo.
David then did a stint at the Detroit Lakes
Record
creating a lakes area publication called Emphasis. In the
early 1980's David spent some time in Los Angeles in the
recording studio with Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson.
He then became Chief Engineer at Audio Media Corp.
in Fargo for three years before breaking out on his own with
David Hanson Productions. David began a
long-running relationship as a vendor of music post-production
services for the GL Ness Agency in Fargo,
where he eventually went to work as Creative Director for
over 14 years. In April of 2002, David saw an opportunity
to realize his long-held dream, being an owner of his own
advertising agency. Thus, he founded H2M where
he currently serves as President.
David brings over 20 years of experience in creating, launching
and maintaining some of the top brands in our region. During
his career in the business he has written some of the better
known long-running brand position taglines in the area.
