Kim Simonsen is a media veteran serving his time in radio and television since 1972; the last 30 of them in the agency world. He is well traveled starting his career in radio and working markets such as North Dakota, Montana and Hawaii. He did spend some time in college as Kim graduated from Radio Engineering Institute located in Sarasota, Florida. The Clown College is also located in Sarasota; however, he is too funny the way it was and decided on radio instead.
Since 1980 Kim has lived in the Fargo/Moorhead area where he and his wife have raised three boys all of which were born in May and each two years apart. It’s an understatement to say he is good at planning and targeting. He was also a public servant in his not so spare time involved with city government for 16 years in North Dakota and Minnesota. Kim was very active in economic development, sports/academic public school booster club, community education board and county/state political committees.
Kim is currently Media Director and business partner at H2M. He has worked for the agency since 1988 through various partners and a couple of name changes. The last ownership change was in 2002 when Dave Hanson joined up to form H2M. He is always eager to find a way to reach the potential customer and in a cost effective method. His favorite saying is “Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible.”
