Leadership

David Hanson, President and CEO

H2M is a privately held corporation with David Hanson at its helm as the agency’s President and CEO. Hanson’s broad-based marketing knowledge and background from the creative side of the business is what provides H2M with a unique perspective and vantage point among other regional agencies headed by leadership from the business side of the industry.

Hanson’s career began in advertising as a jingle writer with Friendship Productions in 1975. From there he branched into television film work in fashion and agriculture. In 1986, Hanson joined the former GL Ness agency and quickly rose to the position of Creative Director. His 14 years at GL Ness garnered 15 Best of Show awards for his creative work as well as national recognition through several well-known award competitions, including the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.

Hanson has been author to some of the most memorable and successful campaigns in the region. Some of the campaigns he has created during his long career are:

With a broad, ever-growing background in design, print, marketing and interactive advertising, Dan has established himself as a true marketing authority. He offers H2M clients a full-spectrum consulting experience.

History

H2M‘s brand has been in existence since 2002. It was formed when David Hanson, H2M’s president and CEO, invested in Aha! Advertising. Aha! was, in turn, an offshoot of the former Charpentier/Hovland Advertising, formed circa 1987. Coming from the creative side of the business, Hanson’s unique perspective has helped grow H2M into the most respected creative and also marketing savvy marketing entity in the region.

What does H2M stand for?The name H2M came about when the original concept for H2M included two shareholders with the letter “H” in their last names and one with the letter “M.” One of the H’s and the M have since departed, but the brand H2M remained in place, being instantly recognized through its clientele, press exposure and recognition of its marketing work.

“H2M’s exceptional creative quality has been critical in our ability to remain top of mind aware with the consumer, while driving growth in these uncertain times. We couldn’t be more excited about the future with H2M managing and executing the marketing of our brand.”
